Men and Meatloaf

I work with a bunch of guys. There are only a couple of us female type people in an office full of retired military men, young and old. I love them.

No really. I do.

Let's see. There is John our fearless leader, and another John. Dave and Big Paul. Big Mike and Young Paul. Rick and Tim. Chris and Kyle. Jim and Lee. Bob. Not to mention all the other guys who wander around from other parts of the office.

And there is Bart, or Bait as we now call him. When the decorator wrote "Happy Birthday Bart" on his very lovely birthday cake, she wrote the "r" of Bart more like an "i" so he is now Bait. Not to mention he is cute and available. You know, bait.

Well anyway, today we had a Meatloaf Bake -Off. There were FOUR meatloaves. Then there was potato salad, mashed yams, green beans, rolls, baked beans, potato chips, pickles, pop, and dessert. Those guys were so happy. Men love meatloaf. The one that turned out to be the winner was Lori's. She puts those crunchy fried onions in hers along with SAGE. Imagine sage in a meatloaf. It makes you think you are eating pork or turkey. Very interesting and good.

The others were all jealous. I tell you, our part of the office is the happiest place to be.
